Happy Feet

Happy Feet

One, two, three, four, five I’m counting toes on tiny feet that resemble ones I’ve seen before, not mine but they look similar. I spent a lot of time looking down watching my steps as life went by, almost missed meeting the reason I’m able to be here and count to ten like I live on Sesame Street.

One, two, three, four, five, I’m counting toes on tiny feet, they will one day leaves my hands and finally touch the ground, these little feet walking a path set by mine for them to follow, I must teach them the world is beautiful though sometimes shallow. Hearts once filled with joy sometimes empty and hollow, BUT this is not what you’ll find when your feet move swiftly towards mine and I lift them off the ground to remind you Icarus had wings but you will not fly as close to the sun, for you walk a path made for Kings.

One, two, three, four, five, I was never a fan of feet, they’re like second fingers with not much to do but keep you balanced, you will lose yours over time but that’s ok, it’s all part of the path, you will stumble and you will fall, but you can always remember to run, run as fast as you can, to me, to the Queen, to the one above he is always there, so do walk the path I have laid, one day you will walk your own and someone else will follow the steps you have set for them.

One, two, two hearts that came together to make one. A glimpse of what it’s like to see your heart walk around time, when their tiny feet hit the ground for the first time when they take their first step on their journey. There’s nothing to fear as long as you’re here, my steps will have purpose. A journey walked alone is never fun or amazing, a journey walked together is what makes you see how…

Each step we take leads us closer to the end of the journey and all you can do is pray the ones following your path know it’s ok to fall, it’s ok to feel, it’s great to dream, step by step we learn to run, to believe you can fly with your…

Happy Feet.
